Fresh household items from Wit

Currently I'm in love with the fabulous design of Wit, a Dutch design brand making clean, fresh and natural household items such as towels, bedding, pillows and many more.

The current range is primarily limited to plains, prints and classic designs. Using applications, combine different materials with embroidery, work with various stitching, flowers, unfinished fabrics and mixed themes.

The Wonderful Guusje Appeltaart

Good morning readers and a happy Thursday to you all. Hope you are feeling great wherever you are ! Today I have another great Dutch designer to show to you. So let me introduce to you: Guusje Wannet. Guusje is a textile artist based in The Netherlands, trained in Winchester, England and has a great love for screen printing. She designs silk screen prints, paper cut outs and ceramics. When I first visited her blog I instantly fell in love with the magic she produces trough the things she makes ! Inspired by daily things that surround her, her three kids and her wonderful house. You can see she has layed her heart and soul in all of her work.

Beautiful Fabric Lampions

Let me introduce to you: Maartje van den Noort, living and working in Amsterdam makes these beautiful fabric lampions. She likes unusual color and pattern combinations, work structurally impulsive and like textiles. For the Lampions she uses vintage fabrics but with her own illustrations on it. She also makes clothing, interior textiles and accessories. Oh my, I definitely have to put these amazing lamps on my wishlist !

In her own words: " I like the simplicity of drawing, a pencil and a nice clean sheat to start with. Drawing will always be themain part of my work."

Besides her own work she has a project called Macaroni. She and a friend give workshops to children. They  organise creative projects in schools for children to get acquainted with art. Riverdale just launched their new spring and summer 2011 collection "Just Fabulous". This collection is divided into five collections, namely: Sweet Fantasy, Lavender Dreams, Casuel Life, City Elegance and Pleasent Seasons. The bright, colorful accessories are in perfect balance with natural materials, various shades of white and brilliant color.

Don’t you love these wall decals ? These awesome stickers are made by Zuuz, and besides the fact that I really like the images of the typical Dutch canal houses, I love the fact that they are so big ! With Zuuz's wall decals you can give your house a different ambience in no time.
