Trough The Lens: Lupen Grainn Photography

I really like Lupen Grainne's view on photography. Lupen is a self taught full time photographer, living in Northern California. Her work features creative home decor photography prints and cards, vintage inspired and contemporary styles, nature and landscape photography and travel photography from Hawaii, France and Italy.

Her fine art photography captures nature and life at its best, the pictures draw you in with their warmth, dreamy lazy Summer feel and charm as I'm sure you would agree.

Soft Light Against Hard Light

Got up early this morning at 07.00 to take my weekly daily trip to the forest. Next to the forest there is a small botanical garden which I visit on a weekly or two weeks basis. Every time there growing something else and every time it's a surprise to find out what's popping out next ! Below some images I took today. Hope You like them as mush as I do. These are shot with my new 50mm 1.4 Nikkor lens, witch will get you a very nice bokeh (the little bright circles in the back)

Trough the Lens: Rocky Top Studio

Rocky Top Studio was founded by Allison, a professional fine art nature photographer based in Maine. She has been photographing the natural landscape and animals of all shapes and sizes since she first picked up a camera in college. Her home and studio are based on a rocky mountaintop near the coast, and she doesn't need to go far to find a magical landscape !

Inspired by the changing landscape throughout the seasons she takes beautiful pictures. She grows her own plants witch she photographs and she has spent years growing and making a natural habitat suitable for birds and butterflies.

Allison's nature and animal photos are breathtaking, full of softness and light filled. I'm fascinated by Allison's bird photography. It seems so unreal to me ! Trough The Lens: Oh Joy Photography

Hello everyone, I hope your week is running smoothly and has been a creative one ! I can't wait for the weekend as we’re getting closer to Friday ! Yeah ... a free weekend, finally ! Well ... as you probably know it's been a few days since I've placed some nice photography and I think it's time for some new eye candy today ! I can't last a day without seeing some gorgeous images taken by a talented photographers ! And I found one, a very talented one !

Meet Joy (lovely name) living in Westerville, Ohio. Photography has been a life long passion of her. Joy loves experimenting with old cameras and the imagery they produce, and finds inspiration in old faded photographs and art from past times. Her images express her view of the world ... light, happy and full of joy.

I've picked some of my favorite images of her work and I must say it was a tricky one this time ! But eventually I think I've picked lovely ones and I hope you'll find them inspiring and easy on the eye ! I've decided to go for her soft green and blue ones because it's my favorite color and and it gives me peace and tranquility. - Joy, I adore the images you've created and can't wait to see how your next ones are going to look like !

I can't shop gazing at these images, because Melissa has a way of capturing such a peacefulness with her camera. These pictures are quite dark and magical, but with a calming quality. Karin's words: I can spend hours outdoors or in a garden just to photograph flowers but I think it's just as fun to shoot people, not least children. Small simple everyday things inspire me, and it is also those things that I strive to capture with my camera. Meet the talented Kari Herer, a photographer currently living in Portland, United States.  Kari takes stunning pictures ! Her pictures are captured in natural light, which further enhances the simple beauty of everyday objects. I love the soft colors and composition. Kari's composition is flawless and she almost gives her subjects a vintage feel, which I adore. I’m completely in love with below's picture (with the antlers), this one is just so pretty !

Trough the Lens: In a Flight ...

Today I've got some beautiful work to show you of the very talented Susie Loucks, a freelance nature and animal photographer living in Los Angeles, US. Beginning with a B.A. in art, She has worked as a freelance photographer, and has had photos published. And her work is exhibit in many art galleries. I'm loving the grey tone and simplicity of these pictures, it makes you only want to look at the bird itself !

She says: "Being a native Californian, the ocean and its wildlife have a huge influence on my creativity." 

She has listed 3 portfolios. "Bird Portraits" is a selection for the photo purists, shots right out of the camera. "Birds in Motion" is a collection of work where the background has been manipulated. Inspired partly by Swan Lake and birds on a wire, "Birds on a Line" is a collection of photographs where the background has been eliminated and a line added to display the grace, elegance, and movement of these captivating creatures.

Prettylights is an Etsy shop founded by Elana, living in Toronto but originally from Ukraine. Her photographs are inspired by nature's beauty and joyful little things in everyday life. I’m simply in love with her pictures, she captures such beautiful magic in every day things !

A while ago some people have asked her if she's planning to sell her prints online, and she's done that. Recently she's opended her first Etsy store where you can buy her prints. For now now she has listed 12 floral prints. But she's planning to add many more, including custom prints and postcards. I can't wait to see more of her amazing pictures !

As soon as I discovered a picture of her, I instantly went to her shop and looked though each and every photo. Elle moss's shop focuses on her own conceptual self-portraits, all shot, styled and featuring her. Elle  is a dedicated self portrait artist who is drawn to dreamy, surreal images with vintage qualities and charming details.

I just love her work – it’s kind of dark but beautifuland magical too. She draws me into her pics ! Everything about it is beautiful. Her ideas are so unique and refreshing. Elle is a really creative person and her photos always remind me a story or a tale. She's a very inspirating and fantastic photographer !
